How to use Receipt to CSV
Scan your receipt once and let LocalKit map every line into tidy spreadsheet columns. This preset balances contrast enhancement with denoising so even thermal paper or phone snapshots are readable. Each run automatically normalizes brightness, lifts faded ink, and groups prices with their labels so you can reconcile budgets quickly. Because the worker runs locally, there is no waiting for uploads or approval queues, making it ideal for quick reimbursement sprints.
- Drop a JPG, PNG, or PDF photo of your receipt into the uploader or tap Try sample to preview the workflow.
- Review the auto-enhanced preview in the OCR panel and wait for the status indicator to hit 100%.
- Confirm vendor, taxes, and totals in the structured table. Edit any cells inline if you notice a mismatch.
- Download the CSV and attach it to your reimbursement, or copy the raw text if you prefer pasting into a spreadsheet.
For extra clarity, flatten any folds before photographing the paper and shoot in even lighting. The denoise pass helps tame background shadows, but crisp images will always improve item detection and reduce manual cleanup. Snap from directly overhead, avoid receipts overlapping the table edge, and keep the original handy until your finance team closes the reimbursement.
